@vmon215 For an interesting discussion watch Bush Radical’s video on just what “off grid” and variations of it can mean. Another point is you may be “off grid” but if you still want electric you create your own grid or a compromise between the two. Especially as you grow older there might still be some conveniences you want and are willing to pay for. You may not be completely off grid but by careful design you might have your own water supply, might have build a good septic system, and you might have been energy efficient so your electric bills are tiny. Find what you are comfortable with and keep yourself and whoever is with you, happy first. Don’t forget you can still have a good generator or make power by solar for a lithium battery pack. Lots of ways to do this. Eliminating all utility bills is one thing but reducing them isn’t bad either. Kyle and Cierra are on a wonderful adventure and enjoy time with their families too. I love their cooking too! Yum!!!!!!!

@beckyumphrey2626 As I remember from past videos, Cierra has a job doing something and Kyle works in the summer. They are frugal and have made a nice nest. One thing I see is that they are flexible so as times and stuff changes in their lives, I believe they will adapt and do just fine. I think they would make great parents too.

What about taking a bunch of pallets you might pick up for free and making a floor with them? Of course you would have to get them down solid somehow and then find some recycled sheathing, etc.to nail over that. Thinking about this you might come up with more details to vapor barrier it too. I also watch 9252LIFE Off Grid. Amazing examples of ingenuity there and a loving humorous family!
