  1. Love the project! Suggestions for some presents Sierra might get you for some occasion. A stone mason’s chisel hammer which is short handled with 3-4# head. When I did stone mason work building walls, etc. was a good hammer to work with. Next is an engineers hammer. About a 4# head with a longer handle. Both can be used to drive wedges for splitting and might be easier that using that splitting maul. I like the engineers hammer as the long handle allows a good wack at the wedge. Just a thought for Sierra for a surprise gift you could use.
