  6. If Russia shows to be able to supply and rotate troops then Ukraine has the option of withdrawing. This is not a territory one can strike quickly through, especially in this season.

  9.  @varkonyitibor4409  It is not an ideal supply situation for either side, but the supplies are coming from different directions and the distances are very different. Artillery in Kherson city can reach any access road to the area while any Russian artillery trying to move into range also can be reached by Ukrainian 155mm or HIMARS on the safe bank of the river.

  13.  @war-painter  Well, I do not mean that they get rotated home to Omsk for some R&R. I am assuming that they sometimes move them out of the mud and put them in some basement 50km back to rest and dry their socks.

  14.  @olethomsen4931  ​ Their long range strike capabilities would run into medium range AA based in Kherson, and next year the F16s will come into play. Any Russian vehicles will be stuck on the roads too and can be hit by HIMARS/Bonus/Smart/Excalibur or units with Javelin. This is a medium term play I think.
