It's interesting how Thom talks about how these people have crazy conspiracies surrounding pedophiles and then casually postulates that this might lead to a "mass genocide". Kind of ironic. I think this type of thinking is far more pervasive than we realize. It's becoming a feedback loop where craziness on the right, leads to some craziness on the left, which causes even more craziness on the right. The internet, along with Covid, partisanship, and tribalism is creating a lot of strange behavior.

@r.daillee1034 I should have wrote "mass murder" instead of "mass genocide", but he does so at 09:30 Anyone online talking about each other and these groups is part of the echo chamber whether they like it or not. Though obviously Thom doesn't have the same online following as he used to. However I don't think people realize how much back and forth is just reacting to the extremes on either side.

@r.daillee1034 I would say that there isn't any evidence that the people holding signs and waiting around for "Zombie JFK Jr" were violent or spreading any violence.... However the assumption here is to immediately lump them together with anyone related to q-anon who has ever suggested anything violent... That's really no different than the right wing lumping everyone related to BLM with the small number of people who did crime and vandalism during the protests now isn't it? People rarely realize the bubbles that they're in.
