  1. Again.... Giving "some people money" is not a UBI.... Everyone has always known that "giving some people money" will help that group of people. We've known that in this country for 85 years with social security... What is unknown is what will happen if suddenly the baseline for the entire economy is $1000 a month. I can almost guarantee that in places where real-estate is at a premium landlords will immediately raise the rent by $1000.... I'm not comfortable letting the market insure that everyone is housed, clothed, and fed because it's NEVER been good at that. I would rather move towards a society where there is LESS capitalism. Handing people money just to prop up a broken and corrupt system, seems rather insane to me. It's almost like starting fires just to keep firemen employed...
