@celainea The problem with that is you end up with a tax system that is infinately more complex than the one we already have... There would be almost no end to the list of products and services that would either be taxed or exempt. There would also be a huge burden on small businesses figuring out which products/services should be taxed and which one's shouldn't. Should a filling or root canal be taxed? What about gold teeth then? What about somethng vague like corrective surgery?
