  1. Absolutely GREAT to see level headed, erudite and capable people such as yourself, putting their head above the parapet and voicing their valid concerns about "the message". Thank Christ I left the Fire Brigade after 30 years of frontline service 10 years ago, I saw all this BS coming in for the last 10 years or so of that service (you would not BELIEVE some of the utterly ludicrous policies, complete with resultant unforeseen consquences, that were introduced), and to hear the sort of continual, irrational nonsense that is passed down from government to local authority to management to the "coal face" is SO dispiriting, you know the old saying that "shit rolls downhill"... but then when that shit hits the fan as its now doing in many different aspects of society, all the fecking pen pushers, the types who can't wipe their own arse without getting it in their hair, come pleading to exactly the kind of long serving experienced people that they had legislated against and undermined for the previous 20-30 years to pull their arses out of the shit. I'm so sorry that you feel unable to serve in a vital job that you obviously have loved because of the constnat "message". But you're doing the right thing, finding your fulfilment elsewhere, better to serve yourself and your loved ones now than let these corporate globalist puppets take the piss out of you any longer.... leave them to stew in the shitpit that they created.
