  1. Nice idea, but a wire rope winch isn't safe If the cable breaks you get hit by the lashback. They make rope winches now. Thats a much better idea.

  2. Block and tackle system, you could pull it with a lawn tractor. Or just rig up a lawn tractor. The fork truck could work Or a rope winch. Dont use a wire rope winch use a nylon rope winch.

  3. The old pump is trash, so cut the plug with long wires off the pump. Connect it to the short replacement plug end. Dont cut the wires on the van. Connect the old pump male to the new pumps replacement male to make a short conversion harness this way you didn't alter the vans plugs.
