  1. TROY, everyone makes mistakes Dont let it bother you and learn from it. You've done a hell of a job on that car thus far. Someone ask how long you've worked there or been a mechanic Its always "MY FIRST DAY" but its done as a joke. Its always funny to see a customer freak out when 90% of the cars in a million pieces all over the shop and they ask you that, then funny when they pick it up and it looks like no ones done anything to it. We played a joke on a customer once we put in a big car audio system the guy spent a lot of money, to play a joke we put scrap wire hang out the trunk in the parking lot, he freaked out the opened the trunk to see this very clean looking install. Boss wasn't too happy, but we laughed our asses off the guy thought it was funny too. Another time with a 94 supra we glued the end of a screw poking out a tire on the sidewall and got the salesman he flipped out nervous. Ran to get the boss, we took it off the tire. The boss knew the trick we pulled on him and cracked up. Oh I screwed neon lights onto the lip of a gas tank once oops we patched the leak. I never did that agine you learn from your mistakes and move on. One installer drilled a hole in the Floorplan under the passenger seat, he hit the fule line the customer saw it and was laughing at it, we fixed it with rubber hose and 2 hose clamps. Made the poor guy lay under the car to plug the hole somone had to go to an auto parts store to buy the hose and clamps.
