There's always more and different reasons to do things. Religion is crude unsophisticated false confabulation of an explanation before people knew about the scientific method checking hypotheses and ideas against reality

  3. 14:20 you seem to have a very incomplete understanding of the potential of neuralink. it increases the bandwidth of stuff you can do, just like how you decide to call a friend and talk directly when texting gets too slow, cumbersome, and annoying, and not as clear. Same thing for direct brain interfaces compared to using a search engine on your phone. Second, it's not necessarily something reading your mind. Sure that's possible, but I think a lot of the new generation is already apathetic or comfortable with governments and corporations spying and tracking everything. This isn't that big of a difference.

  6. 15:00 you're making a false dichotomy here. You can include minor trade-offs into a cost function into an AI algorithm. Human emotional decision making has been proven repeatedly to be influenced and primed by irrelevant things and subconscious recent moods like whether you had lunch or not impacting sentencing and stuff like that. You're ignoring this huge aspect of emotional decision-making by humans and setting up a false dichotomy that can easily be patched the o ther way around bye including those very things you sighted into the AI algorithm
