Environmental damage is an externality. And as long as there is a tragedy of the commons situation going on, the negative externality of pollution won't be factored into prices and capitalism. One solution that is often very neglected, even by whatifalthist here, is to get property into private habdsm then any pollution will be a negative externality and damage to someone's property, and then you can sue them and have the rule of law cover the cases. Even now, people can sue for environmental damage. The environment is not a capstone example of the failure of capitalism.

Big gov progressivists violate so many well established economic principles so much. It's almost like they end up socialist because they weren't vaccinated with an intro course on economics... Which is pretty ironic, seeing as they are constantly on their high horse about vaccination and education about vaccination.

18:35 Emphasizing intentions over outcomes is curiously a lot like religion...

Security is the goal, not go ernment per se. Government is one type of strategy to try to achieve security with it's downsides. Allowing an alternative solution to achieve security can make government's role in security defunct, but just like how there may be too little or too much tariffs, government monopolizing and crowding out potential competitors to the security industry is what prevents alternatives from seeing the light of day. Then even right-leaning people like whatifalthist ends up thinking government is necessary for security. That's when you know there has been such a thorough monopoly that smart people across generations think there's no alternative.

8:20 I love how he unapologetically defends capitalism as objectively, scientifically better.

Except rule of law depends on what laws.

Also, stability is a function of the other things and more. You're not identifying independent factors here.
