Restricted by the primary (40% of voters are Independents, and not allowed to vote in primaries), the vast public in the general have habituated to selecting from "the lesser of two evils", as we coast to more and more evil. Who votes in the primaries? Far Left and Far Right. So it's no wonder the candidates are radicals, mainly the 1%'s picks.

  18. As though these accidents ONLY happens to elderly drivers. Jim, you have "issues". The most deadly are teenagers and in particular males under 25. Every single year, due to her harpie children, my elderly friend in her 90s, takes a driving test, and has no problem passing.

  21.  @Scuba_Rocky  By 21 years old, my friend had racked up a few cars. My ex, regular accidents from high risk choices (crossing 3 lanes, versus shopping plaza's traffic light exit). My point being age doesn't determine competence at driving. And if we're going to veer off into "selfish", a) none more so than parents pushing Jr to drive, while still incompetent and b) you - all drivers over age [scientifically determined] because you're having a problem with some elder. And I'm not trying to pick a fight here, but broadbrushing who's competent and selfish are subjective.

Because 20 years ago, tech transitioned staff hiring to mainly (in some cases strictly) H1B hires, and stayed that way. Because they're cheap and visa indentured. Within 1 year (1997), my entire department (in Mass.) was wiped out and replaced with H1Bs.
