  1.  Dane Chauvin  thats been done plenty of times by half the militarys on the planet. Your not going to wear out the knotch, your just not. and if you did, whoopy do get a new cocking tube. as for slides, no, useing the slide release is not going to round out the notch on the slide, i dont know why this has become a mainstreme thing and people avoid useing it, but i have guns that are a healthy 80+ years old that have been VERY heavily used by probably half a dozen people from before i was born, and springs, mags, barrels. those wear out. slide stop notches? never seen it.

  2.  Dane Chauvin  no you just dont know what your talking about. I dont care how "HIGH SPEED LOW DRAG" you claim to be, slide notches wearing out is not a thing that happens. Its designed for that. the steel on the actual stop is softer than the slide. now the actual stops on some guns might wear, i know glocks stops will do it at high round counts, but the slide notch? no. it doesent happen, so use it like it was intended or look like an idiot.
