  6. He never got enough credit? He was one of the most celebrated and honored men of his time. Twice elected president. A million and a half people attended his funeral and he was buried in one of the most majestic tombs in the country, which was for years one of the most visited sights in the nation's largest city. His likeness is still on one of the bills of the U.S currency. I think he got quite a bit of credit.
