  1. I thought "Scandal" was very good--I remember it quite well. John Hurt was excellent as Stephen Ward, as was Bridget Fonda as Mandy Rice-Davies. (Her delivery of the line "Well he would, wouldn't he?" was hilarious.) Joanne Whalley was OK as Christine Keeler, if less memorable. I don't remember who played Profumo--I think he was a lesser character in the film. Christine's boyfriend Johnny was played by, of all people, Roland Gift, lead singer of the Fine Young Cannibals. I thought Hurt deserved an Oscar nomination, at least.

  4. There's an excellent fictionalized, but fairly accurate, film biography of him, called, with great originality, "Basquiat." Jeffrey Wright is outstanding as Basquiat, and David Bowie (!) is memorable as Andy Warhol.
