@pavel9652 Your assessment does not match the rhetoric coming out of every state leader these days. The message "We will support Ukraine for as long as it takes" is pretty much on the headlines every week these days. Nothing is too late until it gets hauled across the border at the same time as the last Russian soldiers retreats over the border (or try to swim from Crimea). it is abundantly clear that Ukraine's allies have accepted that Ukraine delayed the counter offensive to not sustain avoidable losses. They asked for more, and they're getting more.

@fredmdbud Don't forget to quote that in full: "A Jack of all trades, master of none, is often better than a master of one". That is exactly what the F-16 is, and was specifically designed to be. The latest Viper block expands on that further, to the point that many purpose built air craft are on par or only very slightly better than the F-16. It can practically do everything an F-35 can do, except be stealthy. And in an age that focuses heavily on long range stand-off munitions having a plane that can be kitted out to be a flying bomb tuck, while also being a good recon, CAS and SEAD plane, should a pressing need arise, is damn useful. Broadly speaking the F-35, F-22 and B2/B21 are the only ones worth bothering with. Everything else, not transport or AWACS related, can be fulfilled with up to date F-16s.

@pavel9652 Ukraine has gotten a whole lot more than 300 tanks. They were hoping for 300 modern tanks but are getting in the neighbourhood of 500 in total with about 150 of them being modern ones. Poland's entire stock of PT91 Twardies is going, along with every Leopard 1A5 that can be sourced. The Abrams plans have been revised and instead of getting M1A2s freshly manufactured they're getting M1A1s from storage. And some are already in Poland. Things are picking up speed. But as usual, with us democracies, it always take entirely too long. But that's the same mechanism that prevent us from becoming a one man show run by a power horny midget.

The bald pig thinks he can do whatever he wants. Him and his cronies are going to get told the same message as when they threatened to leave Bakmut the last time: "If you do that you'll be facing treason charges". Putin knows full well that this war is lost and he's just delaying the inevitable and trying to position himself as favorably as possible before it happens. This includes getting rid of anyone, anyone at all, who could pose a threat to him if the political situation gets dicey in the homeland. Prigozhin will either die or be captured in Bakhmut. Putin will make sure that the city is encircled so he can get rid of the insubordinate little problem maker who talks smack all the time and is gaining popularity over it.
