  1. If my ass wasn't over the hill I would have been in Ukraine. And I would have gone to Taiwan too. I've been in two of this world's hellholes to try to stop the bloodshed (ex-Yugoslavia and Afghanistan). Neither of those instances had particularly clear lines on who where the good guys and who were the bad guys. But there is absolutely nothing fuzzy about the situation in Ukraine, nor will there be if the unthinkable happens in Taiwan.

  2. FFS Macron... Can you FOR ONCE wrap your head around the fact that there are genuinely dishonest leaders out there who vomit at your weakness as soon as you're out of sight? They will lie, cheat, steal, barter and coerce in every way they can to get things the way they want. They DESPISE you. You're PATHETIC to them. The "go along with the get along" is a practice that ONLY works when your partners are of the same disposition. It's the language and attitude of solidarity and unity. But these asshats don't want that. They want raw undisputed power over anyone who's too weak to resist them. Violence is the only thing they respect. The only way to secure peace with them is to prepare for war with them.
