Considering Ukraine sent freaking 8 ATACMS at the NIP-16 radar less than 48 hours after Russia managed to shoot down an ATACMS tells me this radar was exactly what allowed Russia to track ATAMCS..... If you look at the size of the site, and the effective radius of the long range cluster ATACMS then about 2 would have sufficed. 4 if you want to make double sure that everything is Swizz cheese. But 8 is just every kinds of overkill. Ukraine wanted to make 100% sure that some got though, even if Russia managed to repeat "the beach trick", and they wanted to make 100% sure that what got through would utterly and irreversibly destroy the site in it's entirety.
