Germany has cut down on the stock piles of the Bundesver, but Germany is an economic powerhouse so replacing 3 Patriot batteries, despite the long lead times, is doable. But those 3 batteries cost more than the entire F-35 fleet Denmark is in the process of acquiring... so yes, very impressive.

Just like they consider honesty and dependability a fools traits. We've almost come to the point where if Russia doesn't like it, then you basically have an automatic endorsement.

Thanks for that little tidbit! :D

@prodkevv4104 Could you at least bother to elaborate on why "it's not looking good for them"?

Biden may have become too old to be quick on his feet in a political debate... but the old geezer still has over 40 years on Capitol Hill. He didn't become president by a fluke. He worked his way up party ranks and was a Senator for a long ass time. 100 days to election is pretty much the perfect amount of time to keep the news cycle constantly hot with Kamala's views and plans about this and that.

Lithium batteries are the least of their concern. An area larger than East Germany has been densely mined....

They don't have them in unlimited numbers. They basically only use them on high value targets like air defense systems, ammo depots and unusually large concentrations of troops (like a staging area preparing for assault). Which is why they need artillery shells. Lots and lots of artillery shells.

Just because he got so old he developed a stutter doesn't mean the old geezer doesn't have over 40 years on Capitol Hill under his belt. He knows bloody well that if there ever was a time where the US was ready for a female president, now is it. The Democrat voter turnout is going to be absolutely insane, and all the old-school classic Reagan Republicans are just silently standing by... I suspect they also will on election day.

What an absolute BOSS ASS move by Biden. He may have lost the ability to be "quick on his feet" in political debate, but he sure as hell still knows how to read the political winds and make the biggest impact the situation allows for. The US is, if I remember correctly, the only country among "the big allies" who hasn't had a female head of state, and the timing for this event has never been more right than it is now. I honestly don't know much about Kamala Harris, but if she is being attacked for "smiling and laughing" something tells me they've got absolutely diddly on her. They will have to resort to actually discussing ideas and approaches to problem solving.... which has never exactly been a strong point for MAGA.

Jake has said numerous times "I'm a single issue voter. I will vote for the party that supports Ukraine the most". He used to be a registered conservative (many former officers are, after all). So there is no use in calling him partisan when he clearly spells it out himself.

I'm optimistic too. The time is absolutely ripe for a female head of state in the US, so the Democratic voter turnout is going to be thorough. And Trump has pissed off many classic Reagan Republicans to say the least... so there's going to be a non-trivial segment of the Conservatives that simply chose not to vote.

He is getting so old he isn't quick thinking any more.... Doesn't mean he's not still a career politician with over 40 years of experience. Trump has a habit of underestimating everyone because "He's the greatest, perhaps in all of history, at making decisions. Good decisions. Strong decisions. Decisions China could never match because American decisions are the best in the world". Biden is a realist. I haven't always agreed with him. But he has never done anything that didn't seem grounded in reality.... whereas the Mexicans still haven't paid for Trump's wall....

Obviously. They're fighting an enemy that is all but as indifferent to casualties as the Viet Cong. That will put a toll on anyone who can't establish utter and complete air dominance. But they're still fighting, and they've just gotten 2.7 million draft-eligeble men to sign voluntary contracts with the army. If Kamala wins and Ukraine keeps getting supplies from the US, while the European support builds more and more momentum, this can only go one way for Russia.
