While the FSB might have figured this was a brilliant plan there is someone in the shadows who will make a play knowing Putin's ass is over the hill. The time between now and the presidential election will see a lot of suspicious deaths. I'm positive some in the FSB would rather see Strelkov than Prigozhin take the crown. There will be factions trying to outplay each other. There will be solo runners misjudging the situation. There will be back stabbing, defenestration, polonium tea, money grabs and shady deals galore.... Let the hunger games begin! If there was EVER a time where the Ukrainian General Staff had a secret trick to make the Russian MoD look completely and utterly incompetent NOW would be the right time to play it. Exploiting that Putin has not said "You know what? This Prigozhin dude is right. The MoD lied to me this whole time! They told me there was a threat that isn't there. They told me we could deal with that 'threat' as easy as pie, and now we're in a big crappy mess because of them. I'm going to publicly castrate them for it!" is key right now. The clumsy fool made the wrong move. The war is now back to being his responsibility, while Prigozhin will continue to "broadcast" from Belarus. Please Zaluzhny, find SOME way to take down the Kerch Bridge completely ASAP, or find SOME way to blow something prominent and visible military related target in Moscow or St Petersburg up ASAP. Executing on this situation might very well accelerate to political collapse in Russia. The political collapse in Russia is the quickest way to end war, and the way to end it that will lead to the least amount of Ukrainian blood being spilled.
