Well, "bullet sprayer gun" is a bit more literal, but everyone got the idea that Swedish, much like German, has a habit of naming things after precisely what they do.

A bullet sprayer is a whole lot better than nothing, but it is a weapon designed for people who're not supposed to see direct confrontation, but in they case they do get confronted, need to quickly lay down a lot of reason for the enemy to take cover, before scooting right quick in a hurry. What the Ukrainians need from the Swedish inventory is a convoy of Carl Gustaf 84mm recoilless rifles (aka "shoulder cannons") along with a few hundred tons of HE/AP/IN/FR ammo. Those things are one of the most versatile and powerful tactical weapons in existence. And the sound of them has as much of a spine chilling effect as that of an A10 Warthog opening fire. They're about as effective as 120mm artillery, except they work on line-of-sight and are dead accurate.

Makes every kind of sense when you see their country and remember they're neutral...

NJAR in Skive? I served in an M109 battery in '96-97.. only our MOs were afforded the MP49. My G3 was hella good though. Did 198/200 at 300m routinely with it.

@johndododoe1411 Nope. The royal guard is gathered from a larger royal regiment. That particular royal regiment (there are a few) has seen active deployment duty, whereas the royal guard itself has not, as it has only one mission statement: to protect the royal family (rather ceremoniously - as it's the Jæger and Frogmen corps who provide the real personal body guards).

The literal translation is closer to "bullet spray(ing) pistol"
