This video was very interesting and informative. I'm sure each of these people had some degree of "hometown pride"; that's quite natural and nothing wrong with it at all. I too, am somewhat biased towards my home region at times but what really struck me was how open, clean and modern each of these places looks to be. I would really like to go to each one. I've always had something of a fascination with Russia and Eastern Europe in general. I'm not sure why but perhaps it's because I'm an ex-soldier and grew of age during the Cold War and this area was always so closed off and thought of as that dark, evil place where the dreaded "other" comes from. They all claim to be open and welcoming to foreigners but I can't help wondering just how welcoming the Serbs would be towards an ex-soldier who took part in NATO operations in their region. Maybe it's all over and forgotten but I'd still be inclined to tread carefully.
