This is what comes from not decisively dealing with your enemies the first time out. 40 years ago, both Hamas and Hezbollah were nothing more than a few rag-tag militants with little money or organization. But thanks to Iranian help, they're now both a rival to many of the world's organized militaries and in co-operation with one another, could give Israel and even the US a very hard time. Speaking of Iran, 50 years of sanctioning them into the ground hasn't accomplished much, has it? Again; this is what comes from pretending your enemies are something other than what they are to say nothing of shipping them pallets of cash for absolutely nothing in return.
