There is nothing which gets people's attention nor motivates them to action any quicker and with more steely resolve than to threaten their money. And threatening their money is exactly the weapon that the west should employ with China. That is the wedge that will cleave them off from Russia. It's already long overdue but now is the perfect time to start talking about significant new tariffs on Chinese goods. Also, there will never be a better time to start the process of building a Pacific rim version of NATO as well as diplomatic and trading alliance along the lines of the EU in the same area. We dithered and dallied around for too long with Russia looking the other way and pretending reality was something else and look where it got us. We can't do the same with China! They need to be told in no uncertain terms that we ain't f*cking playing anymore. They can do business with Russia or they can do business with the west.... NOT both!
