As a Canadian, I don't really have a "dog in this fight" as the saying goes, but as a former (retired) soldier who has worked with both American and German (as well as plenty of other) forces on many occasions, I have always felt a close bond between the troops and by extension, the citizens of all of our allied partner nations and I hope that it continues and develops even further in the years ahead.
