  1. I don't think it's that simple. Like Peter, I'm no expert on this but I think it's actually 50 state elections, each with a different electoral value (electoral college), and whoever wins the highest total out of that, wins the overall election. I think it comes down to the individual states to make a ruling on who is and is not eligible to be on a ballot and the SCOTUS is going to rule on if that state's law A) was properly applied and B) whether it was constitutional.
