Being a former soldier of a NATO member country and one who has worked with the Poles on a few occasions, the advice I'd give to anyone considering f*cking with them.... DON'T! It might be stretching a point to call them a superpower but they are certainly well on their way. It's not just about gear either. Their soldiers are among the best and most motivated I've ever worked with. And France, Germany, the UK and anyone else lining up to lecture them or pout about their own declining influence are all cordially invited to go f*ck themselves! They are the ones who allowed their own militaries to atrophy and rot away so they can't now expect to keep calling the shots in an alliance they themselves have neglected for decades. B*tching and whining about American influence while doing nothing on your own is a favored Western European pass time. It's no surprise that countries like Poland who live right next door to some very tough neighborhoods have no time for such things and have made the decision to take their security into their own hands and I heartily commend them for doing so.
