When I was younger I would have wanted to be in Tokyo thinking it was more exciting and fun. However, if going to Japan to learn Japanese, maybe being in the countryside is a good idea as there is more "total immersion" and then with the locals, need for "associative learning" for example when she at the train station, learning the "train lingo" becomes associative vocabularly she NEEDS to learn and that helps learning a lot. 4 years imho at a young age it may FEEL like a long time, however at such a young age, you have so many opportunities again in the future to direct more life opportunities, that gaining this ability in language will be such a powerful reward for the future, so early on it is so worth it. I hope this advice gives a lot of determination to be successful and do your best in taking on this excellent challenge to live, study and learn aboard - especially at such a young age demonstrating so much maturity for such a young age.
