That 'Occam's razor' -bit is significant, indeed. The whole 'sabotage' schtick from Russia, is a situation and scenario that only works in Computer-games or movies. Sadly, in the real world, soldiers/guards are NOT dim-witted Ai. It could work maybe once, but after the first attack, You can bet yer arse that even half-witted orcs are smart enough to tighten security quite significantly, especially AROUND potential targets. Infiltration then becomes a suicide-game.. Long-range artillery, whatever species, is the more logic explanation. I could be wrong, but then the orcs are even MORE incompetent at warfare than I could even imagine..

@stevemcgowen Ireland does its best, indeed, to be the dark-money laundromat, but it doesn’t come even close to the London Laundromat. Whole banks and trade-houses in London run on dark money from oligarchs, blood diamonds, illegal weapons trade, drugs money. And when they get wind of the authorities being more than just casually interested, they just move to the Caymans, sit low for a bit, and after a year or two, they’re back at Main Street. And Westminster doesn’t do a whole lot about it, since many of those in parliament have stocks in those banks and trade-houses. It’s been a public secret for decennia..

100,000 men dead, let alone the thousands of civillian casualties in Ukraine itself. ALL because of the Insane posturing of that pathetic, frustrated, evil hobbit Putin, and a wholly morose, subdued, and some of them even as hateful as the Evil Hobbit himself, populus..
On a side-note: If that Wagnerite thing is true ,and they don't get paid what was promised..ayayay.. NEVER fail to pay your mercenaries.. A wisdom known since the first Swiss mercenaries whirled their flamberge's, lopping-off heads, for the Pope in the 1500's.. Russia could be harbouring their own, angry, well armed 5th column. Not. Good. A 1917 re-hash and little rear-room execution squads could be waiting for those currently in power in the Kremlin if push comes to shove.
The christmas tree on the grave of a fallen hero.. All too familiar. I live very close ( I am looking at it from my attic's window) to a large WW2 Military cemetery. Every year, when we remember those that fell for OUR freedom, the intense sadness of it all comes back. A sadness that never really goes away...

It won't freeze, but parts get very lumpy, and nasty residue starts sinking which thoroughly clogs pumps, and can even make the mechanisms inside pumps, shatter. Standing crude in pipes=bad, simple as that. You'd normally flush everything out before you switch-off pumping stations and relays, and even thèn, people have to actually scrape the residue from everything (Horrible, stinky and dangerous job which can only be done properly while wearing gas masks at the least, but the pay is more than exellent.) Think trying to clear tar from your feet when after a beach walk, you got some of it stuck on yer feet, but then from giant reservoirs and pipelines.

Beau of the fifth column already stated as such at the beginning of the invasion. Informed intel estimated an airwar to take about two weeks at worst, before NATO would have total air superiority. From that moment-on, it would have been just mopping-up what remained of Russia's ground troops by first shelling them precisely, and relentless, and then steamrolling them with Abrams M1's, Leopard 2A6's, Leclerc's, PLUS that NATO dòesn't have to limit itself to 70km HIMARS systems. I.E. Its troops can keep a healthy distance from the Russians, and use the 300km ones... There was some uncertainty about the actual quality of the Russian Army, especially its Special Forces, but they have proven to be a good old mess of bad maintenance, crappy communication and obsolete tactics. The only thing it has going for it, is that there are so many orcs.
But hey, who knows. Maybe Putin hàs held back Russia's "very VERY Special and advanced troops and weapons".. As StPetersburg (and recently Indian, African- and some Arab ) trolls want us to believe, and will deploy them anytime now.. anytime.. *crickets.. 😋

"Bat shit crazy" ..or rather "mosquito shit crazy" 🤣 Just You just wait, combat-ladybugs will be next!!, All sneaky red and polka dotted 😋 Well.. so this is how àctual desperation looks, I guess..
About the current halting of further advances around Kherson. Given Ukraine's excellent tacticians, it's quite possible the Ukes are just keeping the orcs busy, allocating jùst enough resources towards that, while preparing something big for when the ground freezes allover the Donbass. Orcs dug-in around Kherson, cannot be deployed elsewhere... Ponder that for a bit.
On a side-note.. that street interview with those elderly women, is a tad skewed imho. Most elderly people in Russia, especially spoilt Moscovites, long for the "old days" (read: the USSR'), for a past that actually didn't exist, when everything seemed simple with one benevolent 'strong man' that decided everything, forgetting about the shortages, the empty shelves, the Dollar-shops that only 'certain people' had access to. The crappy quality of clothing, food, household appliances (if at all available) The KGB keeping a constant watch what You were up to etc. etc. Nostalgia is one seriously powerful drug for oldies. And if the interviewer got a negative answer about Putin, You can bet Your butt they don't dáre show it. No-one likes those "Special" Spa's in Siberia.. 😋

AFA Johnson and the traitor-caucus goes, Someone accused Americans of 'Cowardice" which is utter bullpucky. There were AMERICAN volunteers KIA in Ukraine. They fought for what they believed in, knowing the risk of falling in combat damn well.
My answer to that bollocks remark, was that it is'nt ‘cowardice’, but pure malice from a very small, but VERY loud minority of traitors that have the good fortune of having an utter sociopath as ‘speaker’ that can prevent any voting on things like releasing that 61 billion dollar in military aid.
They use ‘The Border’ and “Illegals” as a smokescreen for their only goal : Sabotaging Biden at any opportunity. Denying him àny ‘win’. If Biden agrees to something, they just move the goalposts. Ukraine is used as a pawn ànd a hostage in this utterly nasty game, same goes, basically, for the whole 'border-discussion' , Biggest difference being that there aren't cities getting bombed and people killed en-masse by the US or Mexico.
They’re despicable, nasty, inhumane sociopath arseholes of the worst kind. And yet, they were àctually elected in their position. What does that say about their vóters, I dare ask.

@snail2171 "selective journalism to generate clicks" As it currently stands, that 20% was in the first assault. And that assault consisted of about 20% of what Ukes actually have. So, not exàctly a lie, but not exactly true too, that headline. On a side-note: there àre actual rumours whispered in the hallways of power, that the attack plans were leaked by an inside source. There have been several arrest in- and around the higher echelons of Ukraine's General Staff.
Who knows. It would make sense. The way the first wave got shelled with a precision not usually seen from orcs, makes me believe there's quite a bit of truth to the theory the Ukes were betrayed, and that it was a trap. Bit of a bummer for the orcs, that most of the vehicles could be recuperated and repaired.... Only a few were a total loss. Even more of a bummer for the orcs: Unlike their colleagues, most crews got out of their (Western) tanks and APC's in one piece and breathing, instead of being g smeared-out against the inside of a T72, or BMP

The whole draft starts to look like utter desperation.(And in an economic sense, the stupidest thing Putain could have done) I wonder when the first draft-officials start disappearing, and turning-up in dumpsters, so very dead..I dó know that recruiting bureaus in some, involuntarily added to the RF, Asian countries/states are starting to 'spontaneous combust' here&there, and in some of the eastern states closer to China, people that flaunted the 'Z' a bit too openly, got their arses kicked.
It's cooking&brewing in the RF. It's just a matter of time before all hell breaks loose, now the cruel and crude hand of the Russian 'Peacekeepers' that kept the feuds from escalating is largely moved to Ukraine. Azerbaijan and Armenia are alrèady at each other's throat. One state even killed about 200 Russian Soldiers when it caught them smuggling stolen hardware. Cannot remember which RF state, though. No retaliation followed, simply because Russia no longer has the people and the means to stop them.
Sobering thought, though : A lot of those States have nukes, and the key to them....
On a side-note: The lower price for natural gas isn't exactly stopping the international energy corps from price-gouging..

@dplocksmith91 Quite probably, yes. it's been bubbling below the surface in many an annexed RF nation, but the brutal Russian army kept the 'peace'. The fact that the 'Great Russian Army' is not really thàt great, only in numbers ,and not much else-- Well.. That little thing hasn't escaped separatists in mainly the Asian RF states. If/When Russia decisively loses this war, all hell is going to break loose, I'm afraid. There is centuries of old animosities between many an RF state. Added to that, as I un derstand it, many a RF state has nukes AND the keys to them, part of the old Soviet-tactics of spreading the risk, mìght Moscow get vaporized.

Yes.. and no. The Netherlands leased their ówn old 2A6 tanks back from Germany. It's just a weird financial construct that made repair and support cheaper, because that's on Germany's wallet. So, the tanks were 'gone' for a bit, but are back via a lease. It's a noodle-scratcher, but it works. Unlikely the Dutch will give away those tanks, indeed, since they're only 'partially' theirs..By the by, The Dutch also sold a significant amount of older 2A4 Leo's to Turkey. The Dutch dìd, however, send a significant bunch of their PzH2000 Mobile Howitzers and ammo to Ukraine. For such a tiny, tìny country, they did a lot to help Ukraine defend itself from the orc-invasion..

I'm really afraid that NATO has no àctual clue about Moscow's demented look on "power" and "weakness" NATO's mealy-mouthed non-answers will absolutely be seen as utter weakness by Putain and the orc hordes, giving them a free pass to, say, demand they keep Crimea if they'd ever sign a peace deal. What's more galling, is that they never listened to the former Soviet countries now ìn NATO. They've warned, repeatedly, and loudly that the 'Western Way of Thinking" Does. Not. Work. towards Moscow. It never did. I detèst Reagan, but he had one thing absolutely right: A mentality of "We'll wipe you of the face of the earth if you even lóok the wrong way towards us, so get to the negotiating table before I lose my patience" That he clearly ventilated.
In the end there's -sadly, only óne actual solution to this whole affair : Utter obliteration of Russia/Moscovi, economically, as well as militarily. Brutal force and violence is the ónly language Moscovi understands. It has been as such since the first Tsar had his bum on a throne. Western "enlightenment" and "peace through trade" wholly escapes orcistan. They see that as weakness, and 'people ripe for the plucking'

I dunno. Maybe he's legit. I wouldn't trust him though, I can only hope the French Securité keeps a close eye on him. I mean....I just wonder.. IF the Russian army is in such a disarray, then WHY and HOW are they still holding-on in the Donbass? Either they're quite a bit more determined/fanatical than we think, ORRR.. and that's a real possibility too, and vèry Russian (cruel as they have shown to be) in that the grunts were basically told: "Fight, or I'll shoot you myself, or sick the Chechens on you" There have been (unconfirmed) rumours that stragglers, or those that ran away- have actually been shot by their own. That the officers even have strict orders to shoot anyone that's not 'enthusiastic' enough.. Even worse, that Chechens have massacred soldiers that were gravely wounded and in hospitals. (seems far-fetched, but people can do horrific things if properly motivated) So, there's that.

180000 casualties.. Asif we needed even móre proof that Putin and his inner-circle don't care about human lives at all, as long as they are safe ,warm and cosy in their gilded bunkers. Whàt a miserable view on 'life' they have.
AFA 'Whataboutism' goes: It, indeed, has been the base-tool of every troll anywhere. Paid, unpaid, or just fed-up with their own wasted existence, desperately trying to blame the rest of humanity for their own failings, lashing-out to drown-out their self-hatred.... Sooo, yes, absolute perfect, to the point, observation by Jake.

For their utter disregard for lives, even those of their own people,, there's a good chance Putin, and his cronies will end-up like Mussolini .. hanging upside-down from a rack, bled to death. Cutting off Crimea from fresh water doomed the peninsula. Without the irrigation works, it's basically a desert, or dry tundra at best. And Moscow's ignoring of the incursions, letting the mobiks fend for themselves, is already angering quite a few orcs. Added to that the shoot-outs between the Russian army and Wagnerites... I can think only one thing: All hell is about to break loose.
Added to that: What will happen when the water recedes in a couple of days and the floodplain has dried-out... No more dam to worry about, and hopefully all citizens evacuated in the region. It's utterly horrific, this act of blowing-up the dam. Pure, undiluted evil. But it could also offer a break to Ukraine to go full-steam ahead and completely eradicate every orc in the region. I don't know what will happen next after this desperate, but utterly evil act by the orcs. I dó know it has painfully woken-up a few Putin excusematrons and apologists to his actually evil mindset.

Hmm.. I guess when Ukraine keeps advancing, even if by only a couple of tens of kilometres per push, long-range ATACMS also lose their utility. HIMARS will be 'in range' in due time, as are M177 and Caesar artillery, and every kablooie will stay 'affordable'. ATACMS are nice as a deterrent and shock&awe weapon, but at that cost, I can see why the US isn't too enthusiastic about supplying them, let alone that AA argument. It all makes sense, suddenly. I was getting a bit annoyed at the refusal to supply ATACMS, tbh, but now it all fell into place. Thanx Jake. Informative and thought-provoking in one go. Good form, laddie!
On a side-note: That tidbit about anti-radar missiles getting into Ukraine hands, ànd already being deployed, is promising afa the next step in the "Get the Orcs out of my face-project" goes. F16's over Ukraine. Who'd have thought..

@magnushelin007 And what's left, is the rotting carcasses of vehicles stripped from all useful parts, either for repairs, or a nice boot-sale by the overseer of the storage facility in Siberia ( Think an open, muddy field fìlled with row after row of rusting tanks, APC's, and trucks.. quite the sight. SO much rust and stripped-bare chassis) On paper, Russia has hundreds of thousands of military vehicles... in reality, at least 70% of them are total junkyard.. well. 'junk'... Added to that, Ukraine blows more tanks up, or "accepts the hand me downs' than Russia can produce/fix for deployment. And if Scholtz FINALLY pulls his head from his Arschloch, de 120mm-gun equipped Krauss Maffei Leopard 2a4's are probably the ones that will finish off the remainders of Russia's armour.

When the war is over, the only hope Russia has of joining the developed world, will be bright, young people like Zack. The ones that actually have experienced what 'democracy' and 'free speech' is, what it takes to maintain it, and how it has a positive influence on a society. If Russia decides to keep running behind 'Strong Men' with dreams of Empire, it is doomed to become N.Korea MkII, especially now Europe has awoken from it's comfortable, russian gas-heated, slumber, and is sourcing it's fuel from elsewhere, allthewhile severely increasing it's investments in sustainable energy resources next to burning Trilobites.. (Oh, AND starting to arm itself to the teeth)

Asking Russians to stop lying?? That's about as effective as asking the rest of the world to stop breathing.... By the by, that Olga woman is quite the cranky looking one.. Like she's constantly angry that she has to say and do things she réally doesn't want to.
"Putin's youth army' .. I see.. the next chapter in Putin's attempts to emulate Hitler..As Jake states. Putain got himself a Hitler-Jugend...
I wonder if we will see the same scenes in Russia, like in Berlin WW2 when this war wraps-up? Hollow-eyed children in way too big uniforms, clasping a grenade launcher in their small, dirty and emaciated little hands, supposed to defend The Motherland from the World.... I feel like we are looking at a complete rehash of WW2.
By now I wouldn't be surprised if Russia ended-up as 'defeated Nazi Empire Mark II" With a devastated economy, its complete political and military top in court, looking at life-sentences (I vèry much doubt that hangings, like after Nuremberg, will happen) And the rest of the civilised world implementing a western-controlled government in Moscow, overseeing a 'Marshall Plan" version II, until Russia finally shows that it is actually capable of being a modern, democratic nation... ~Like Germany post WW2... But, then again. Maybe they're as stupid as they seem, and want to go down with the ship. "Predictions are hard, especially about the future" (Yogi Berra)

Thàt's the kind of people that vote Trump. Utter simpletons, with a baffling amount of false nostalgia for a time that never was, a time where "Things were simpler" Longing for a time where their quarter-wit brains could understand "The World" They're the kind of people that hàte being civil, háte having to think for themselves, but at the same time think they're smarter than everyone else, and have this deep-seated persecution complex, because society at large criticises, and rejects their ideas and attitudes. They're the people that lóve Trump, because he's them.
If Trump èver gets in the White House again, it's not only Ukraine and Europe in general that'll be in trouble, it'll be the US too. His idiocy could completely Destroy the US from within. He already tried to undermine everything that the USA built since their independence from England with the failed coup-attempt, and it'll get worse if he ever gets his grubby hands on the reigns of power.

True, but it has to be put-up for a vote, and only Traitor Johnson, The Speaker, can do that. They cóuld remove/ignore him, but that would take 30 days. 30 days that Ukraine would pay for in more death and suffering. As far as I am concerned, Johnson and the traitor-caucus in the GOP, are playing with fire, risking a world war even, just to deny Biden a win, àny win. They're utter low-lifes. sociopaths at their worst.

An American I once accidentally met in a completely random situation, had this to say about Trump and the MAGA nasties: "Unfortunately an awful lot of Americans are basically bigoted, ignorant, selfish trolls. They hold fucked-up opinions, hate being civil to others, and feel like they're "oppressed" because mainstream society rejects and criticises their views.
These people lóve Trump, because he's them"
Apparently he was spot-on.
At the time I was a bit shocked that this person, (A Republican ! ) that had always been very careful and polite in the way he criticised certain things, domestic- and international, suddenly got very straightforward and harsh, when Trump was mentioned.
And here we are. Trump and his traitorous minions on the brink of triggering a potential world war.. because someone stepped on their sensitive feefees. ~Especially Trump has been outed as a vindictive little sociopath, with a personal vendetta towards the EU, because they laughed at his 'genius speech" in the Hallowed Halls of the EU. But àlso a personal vendetta against the judicial instututions in the USA, because they put the kebosh on several of his dubious dealings.

The 'we don't want a win for Biden, whatever it costs the world' Makes me hella nervous as an European. We do NOT have the luxury of a giant swimming pool between us and the orcs. If Ukraine falls, Putain wil try and run over the rest of the Baltics, and will probably even try to recapture Eastern Germany. Europe/ the EU is currently ramping-up it's military industry, but we are still to a certain extent depending on the USA, wether we like it , or not. Yes.. It's because naïve politicians thought that after the wall fell, Orcistan would never become a danger to the world again. Yes, they squeezed whatever was left of us militarily, dry, (mostly to finance failed prestige-projects with their names on it, but that's a whole other discussion). I was in the service when the idiots in the respective governments decided that we, military people, were just 'fear-mongers' and 'war-hawks'
Sorry, but no. WE knew that a tiger nèver loses it's stripes. Same went for the former Eastern-Block countries. THEY warned us repeatedly, to be waved away, even ridiculed. And here we are. At the brink of a full-on World-War, if push comes to shove..
If that would be allowed to happen, If the USA abandons Europe, NO-ONE in Europe wil EVER trust the USA ever again. As a side-note: In such a case The US can probably say it's weapon sales in Europe goodbye too.
But, apparently a tiny minority with way too much power in the White House wànts it that way, despìte what most Americans want.. Those smug, sociopath cretins in their suits are only in it for the power and money that being in the White House gives them .They don't care about average Americans and they espècially don't care about the rest of the world. Do they -blinded by their greed, even understànd WHAT is at stake?

" Unwanted" Get real. Without those ' Unwanted' , groceries, clothing and other stuffs would be much, MUCH more expensive. Who do you think fills the sweat-shops, cheaply picks the produce, are cheap nanny's and gardners? Ah.. Yes. . Mostly illegals and immigrants. They're cheap, cannot complain for slave-like working conditions, have no say in working environment safety. Face it.. The economy of the US would be thouroughly fucked when border-control would actuslly work. And there's the reason that the GOP especially, actually really doesn't want to 'fix' it. Their supporters in farms and corporations would have serious financial problems without underpaid illegals and immigrants.
But. Go ahead. Stick yer head in the sand and Just keep repeating the narrative of your slave-masters, be a nice, polite serf..

Lugging around the full machine for it's electronics is utter lunacy. It's far easier to lift the top and unscrew the prints, A few minutes of work, believe me. I fixed several types. ALL useful electronics are at the top., The whole "Washing machines for missile-parts is bunkum. Complete fabricated bullshit that sounds nice in newsrooms. The IC's, resistors, elco's and whatnot aren't even useful for missiles. Way too high percentage of variance in their output. Fine for consumer tech, nòt fine when a deviance of 002% on a timer chip, say, a PC1550, is the difference between blowing-up in the launcher, òr actually getting where you aim. It's far simpler than that: Outside of the big population centres around StPetersburg and Moscow, Russia is dead-poor, and a washing machine is about as affordable for them as a Rolls-Royce.. as in "not". So, it's purely plunder. Nothing more, nothing less. Same goes for blu-ray players and whatnot. Smartphones, however, ARE somewhat useful, as are Laptops. But washing machines and dishwashers? Nope.

Quite the costly revenge, given that Putain is using his quickly dwindling stocks of cruise missiles on these non-military targets. Added to that, it only makes Ukraine more angry and determined to devastate, or even annihilate Russia completely. It will also hasten the decision making on giving Ukraine long-range missiles and ATACMS missile systems. By the by, that Gubarev moron just painted a nice, big target on his forehead, me thinks...
On a side note: What Russia is doing is basically terrorist bombings. An idiotically expensive variation on bombs in dustbins at trainstations (IRA was quite fond of that) Thing is.. Horrible and barbaric as it is, all that ordnance they angrily fired at civilian targets, that mostly just made big, easy to patch, holes in the ground... will no longer be available to, say, defend Crimea, or fire at àctual Ukrainian military targets. An utterly dumb tactics, but, then again.. There's a reason Russians are now called "orcs" after a very violent and dim-witted beast-folk in fantasy lore... Completely opposite to what Ukraine does. Ukes only fire expensive, and somewhat finite ( though, that's relative, given that lend-lease is in effect) ordnance at actual military targets, diminishing Russia's military might, tank battalion by tankbattalion, storage by storage and airfield by airfield. Take a wild guess which application of deadly toys is more effective In the end.

He's a blow-hard idiot. He has been consistently wrong about èverything in this war. I wonder how ho got his rank and position. In a boot-sale? I have sincere doubts about that man. Where his loyalties lie, who his paymasters are.. And Russia's "First Tier" army? They're all dèad. They got slaughtered in the first weeks, starting with the battle for Kyiv, where Russia's elite Spetznats Paratroopers were decimated in the dumbest airborne troop assault èver. The only àctual 'First Tier" troops the orcs still have, are the Wagner mercenaries. And they actually àre a hard nut to crack, because they're àctual 'soldiers'. Although, they are thinned-out só much by now, that even the Wagner-Group has resorted to recruiting stupid cannon-fodder, or, rather "HIMARS Practice Targets" But hey. People are free to believe whoever they want, and if that means believing idiots like Douglass MacGregor and that Ritter-guy? "Whatever floats their boat."

..That we know off... I wouldn't be surprised if after the war the true costs in lives emerges, and we'll find remains of far more Russian soldiers scattered around Ukraine, than the approximately 35- to 450000 we currently know of. Russians have the nasty habit of leaving the remains of their ordinary soldiers/forced conscripts to rot in ditches and fields, not even bothering collecting their dog-tags. Russians don't care a jot for human lives, even the lives of their own. Never did. Ukraine collects and registers what they can, but it's quite the humongous task, I'd gather. Let alone that many orcs are blown into tiny chunks of meat. Good luck finding-out if it was just one poor soul that didn't get-out in time, or the complete crew of a T-72 who's turret went full-on 'UFO' ( The pressure in a tank's interior from exploding ammo, slinging a turret, that weighs several tonnes- sky high will make fish-sauce out of a human being in an instant. No built-in baffles, or compartments will help there.)

@urkiddingme6254 Weight is not the problem. Leopard 2A4s also weigh-in at around 50 tons fully loaded. The "The bridges won't hold them" was a sad attempt from professional Russian trolls to delay, or even stop delivery of heavy western tanks. "The bridges won't hold Leopards.." and yet, a column of T-72's is no problem.. "Something doesn't add-up here". However, yes, the Abrams is a shocking gas-guzzler that needs many fuel stations along its routes. It also doesn't do fech-fech (very thin dust) very well. Runs hot as heck too (less of a problem in Ukraine..) So, no ducking away at it's rear when bullets start flying.. They dó make good 's mores, though, if a bit of a jet-fuel taste is Your thing.. 🤣 ) It was already a bit of a problem in Iraq, and later Afghanistan. The Leo's had a far bigger range than the M1, AND ran on anything, from diesel to cooking-oil. Buuuut.. the M1 was far better armoured against IED's!! The early Leo's f.i. had too thin armour around the driver. Drivers lost their legs. Something the M1 already had covered.

I very much doubt that last rumour, but, indeed. Ukraine has consistently had a big task clearing out dead orcs. Currently, freezing winter, sub-zero temps, not much of a problem to let the bodies just laying in a gutter, or a field, but last summer, it became a bit of a public health problem in the freed territories. Rotting orcs everywhere. Russians really don't care one jot for their fallen, it seems. (unless it's an officer) Specialised teams were dispatched to identify and clear-out the hundreds of dead orcs after every battle. There's a short documentary somewhere on Youtube about the guys and gals that were performing that gruesome, but necessary task.

That last bit You said, really seems to be the actual plan, indeed. What I've gathered sofar, is that Ukraine retreats a few hundred yards, lures the mercenaries in, pounds them to a pulp, moves forward a couple of hundred yards again (almost as a taunt) to lure in the rest, and retreat a bit again to pound them with artillery again. Rinse & repeat. Slowly, but surely decimating the only àctually proficient, and thusly dangerous, soldiers Russia has : Wagner Mercenaries. WW1 idiocy from the side of Russia, killing-off the only quality stock they have.

Clearly Palputin's desperate last action to save himself from the inevitable downfall. Throwing men at "The Enemy" hoping they run out of ammo before he runs out of men. What an archaic way of 'waging war'. Lend-Lease is gathering steam. Putin and his cronies are running on fumes afa. the war in Ukraine goes. Still a lot of support for him in Mother Russia. "Yay" for a constant barrage of propaganda and a sullen people. I wonder how long that support will last if the first couple of thousand men of this draft fail to ever come home again, or come home with limbs missing, or eyes. With 300,000 conscripts, it IS going to be unavoidable that people will notice, me thinks. Let alone if loony Palputin mobilises a million men.
The fact that professional military men have a chance of never coming home again is one thing, but conscripts, and men that are -basically, shanghai'd from the streets, is a completely different thing. I'm afraid we are going to see whole-sale slaughter not seen since Stalingrad, WW2, but this time Russia does NOT have the required masses of able men to make their archaic tactics succeed.
