Poland has promised the Ukrainians their USSR-era tanks and planes, and in turn gets Abrams M1's now, and F16's ( and even A10's, if the rumours are to be believed) later. I don't exactly know how much truth there is to it, but the rumour-mill also whispers that Ukraine already has the 300km range HIMARS missiles via Rumania and Poland.. "plausible deniability' for the US.. and it would explain some giant 'kabloois' in the Donbass and Crimea, that are technically WAY out of range of the 70km variation.. but that's HIGHLY speculative..

I think that the larger part of those 'investments' disappeared into the pockets of Putin's inner-circle and the oligarchs around that, to buy mega-yachts and million-dollar properties allover Europe, the USA and Australia.. I read -unconfirmed, rumours that about 60, to 70% of the allocated funds 'disappeared' somewhere between signing, and investing in research and production...

  12. IF Ukraine actually wins, and Russia is completely defeated and kicked-out of Ukraine, I wouldn't be too surprised if Lukashenko keeps his mouth shut, and his hands to himself. Ukraine will then be a quite powerful neighbour that any Tin-Pot Dictator knows NOT to piss-off.. But 'predictions are hard, especially about the future' as Yogi Berra so aptly remarked. So, who knows what will transpire the coming months.

  15. Several hubs and troll-farms in Ukraine were recently dismantled by Ukraine's military ICT branch. Sadly the one in StPetersburg is still up- and running. And recently Russia has started outsourcing paid trolling to India and some African states. Usually readers report them pretty quick, but jus have a look at the sudden increase in minty-fresh accounts from India and f.i. Nigeria extolling the glory of Russia..

I wouldn't be surprised if after the war the true costs in lives emerges, and we'll find remains of far more Russian soldiers scattered around Ukraine, than the approximately 35- to 450000 we currently know of. Russians have the nasty habit of leaving the remains of their ordinary soldiers/forced conscripts to rot in ditches and fields, not even bothering collecting their dog-tags. Russians don't care a jot for human lives, even the lives of their own. Never did. Ukraine collects and registers what they can, but it's quite the humongous task, I'd gather. Let alone that many orcs are blown into tiny chunks of meat. Good luck finding-out if it was just one poor soul that didn't get-out in time, or the complete crew of a T-72 who's turret went full-on 'UFO' ( The pressure in a tank's interior from exploding ammo, slinging a turret, that weighs several tonnes- sky high will make fish-sauce out of a human being in an instant. No built-in baffles, or compartments will help there.)
