This whole war is now meant to forever cripple Russia, and thoroughly burn away ANY dreams of 'Empire' from the general subconscious of Russia. Putin stupidly started it, and Ukraine, with lots of help from the West, will have to end it. "War is Politics by different means" as Beau of the Fifth Column, once so aptly stated.

  5. I doubt Ukraine would have attacked Russian cities in this scenario, but they móst certainly would have completely destroyed about every Russian military (air)base within the range of 300km ATACMS.

  23. I'm still a tad apprehensive. There's a saying in my country of origin that roughly translates to :"A cat in a squeeze, can make some crazy jumps" Let's just hope that someone in Putin's vicinity decides that Russia has had enough, and takes him out when he's about to push that big, red button. Could even be an aimed action of the FSB, because they do nót want to be at the receiving end of what the West, NATO ( and maybe eventually China and India) can dish-out. They like their power and influence way too much.
