  1. Not good, known since Hitler tried crossing Ukraine in mud-season. Hence the Ukrainian general staff's open statement that they are waiting for the frost to really set-in. 'Something is cooking'... and the orcs wòn't like it.

  4. Blame Chancellor Scholtz' Chamberlain bent. He's been thwarting every attempt of Germany to send actually heavy hardware. I guess it has -by now, dawned upon him that he, and his party, would lose any election from now-on in Germany if he kept that up. Germans themselves were pretty fed-up with his spinelessness. The sending of their high-tech Iris AA was the first sign that he was caving in (mainly to save his own butt)

  5. Germans ignored the Nazi's atrocities for almost 5 years, despite living next to death camps and actually smèlling the crematoria in them, so Russians ignoring 'reality' for 10 months is not really a stretch. Their waking-up will be brutal, though..
