The west has "won" the Cold War by simply óutspending- and óutproducing the USSR, even while there was an economic crisis going-on in the late 70's, early 80's in many a Western Country. Remember the oil-crisis? (The US was booming, though). Currently the Russian Industrial complex is many more times corrupt than it ever was under, say, Brezhjnev (Even if he dìd collect Rolls-Royces) So, not too crazy an idea that it can be done again.

Just an example: Poland has ordered a shitton of HIMARS Installations, and Poland is just the tip of the iceberg afa orders for American deadly toys go worldwide. Military industry is going to boom like it hasn't since the Cold War ended. AFA Boeing, Lockheed, Bell, McDonnell and others go, it's a golden investment AND instant commercials, every time a HIMARS missile reduces another ammo-dump to rubble and pretty fireworks, no ad-campaign needed.
