  6. Probably, or a plan to de-throne him. But as it stands now, Putin is, apparently, holed-up in a secret bunker somewhere outside Moscow.

  7. Maybe, but remember that the Russians only hauled their arses out of Afghanistan after 10 years, when they passed 13500 dead soldiers. US called it a day with just 2300-something casualties. So, there's that. Though, truth be told, it's gonna be pretty clear that things aren't as rosy as Putin's propaganda-machine wants the populace to believe when the bodybags start pouring-in. Mothers tend to notice when their sons don't return from a war, or return very dead.
