seventhsinn They don't. The reason why it seems that way is that the European countries took over most of the world for a period. In the US, it's because what's "white" has changed over time to only include the individuals with light skin who were successful. So, it appears that white people are in charge, but only because the last remaining group with light skin that isn't yet included is Hispanics. And you can already seeing successful Hispanic people dropping references to that part of their family when they make it. Same as the other groups that make up white America.
