  1. Two things can be true. In this case, the world is overpopulated, but if you look ahead a hundred years, the population will be shrinking if the current birth rates continue their current trends. China is seeing a drop, the US is only growing because of immigration. Europe is largley shrinking. India isn't as far as I know, but as their economy strengthens, I see no reason to believe that they will be an outlier as few women want to pump out 4 or 5 kids.

  2. People who take your view don't get what's going on. Government isn't the problem, it's the anti-government politicians and those that support the oligarchy that are the problem. There's no reason why the government can't work, it's the folks that are opposed to the regulations that would prevent private interests from engaging in regulatory capture that are.
