It probably will. I'm not sure if the insurance company has to pay on a claim with this degree of carelessness.

From what I understand, this is why Amazon has this and not Netflix. Netflix wasn't wiling to let him have complete control over the show and Amazon would. Had Netflix been the one to win the contract, there would have been at least a few adults in the room to ensure that things like medication, feminine hygiene products and larger contestants knocking smaller ones out of the contest would be addressed properly ahead of time.

@norsehawk I have no knowledge at all of how the Korean justice system works, but many countries do not have a right to a speedy trial the way that the US does. It wouldn't surprise me if they're allowed to take their time there to get their papers in order prior to the trial.
80
People like that don't understand consequences.
53
TBH, I'm a man and even I know that that is risking some pretty nastic stuff like life threatening infections. There's a reason why there have been ways of dealing with those issues since way before antiquity.
48
This is why it's best to have the car doors locked while driving and not unlocking them while there's some mentally unstable person in the area.
45
@baphomutt The not leaving is bad enough, but it sounds like they also weren't ensuring that people had their medication, food, water or basic sanitary supplies.
41
Sticking together is fine, sticking together no matter what is a massive problem. Sticking together means a private comment if things fall short. Not giving glowing reviews when things fall significantly short of what sort of service you should expect.
37
TBH, I'm not sure how that's a defense when being on any sort of substance that impairs your driving could potentially be DUI.
34
Just wait until he streams his next video from North Korea.
32
It's unclear why the ticket was even written on the basis of an unreliable witness without the officer actually witnessing the alleged infraction.
32
@LuisFernando-wm4rw TBH, I fail to see how they didn't see that coming. They should have been allowed to change at the stadium and they should have had appropriate bags with some method of labeling them available. There's no such thing as common sense, but this is an outcome they should have expected if they did any research at all.
23
IKR, I don't understand why he continues to say that it's Keith Lee, even though he claims to know that it's a con artist.
22
The judge has limits on what sentences can be handed out and failing to following the guidelines can result in the sentence being changed by higher courts.
22
That's certainly the impression that those of us that live nowhere near there have on the basis of how she handled that $4k gift that came with specifications as to what it was covering. If it had just been money to the business to do whatever they like with, or even had been money to the business that hadn't included money for other people, that would be different. But, the money was clearly intended to be shared.
19
@LibertyPrimeOnline Yes, that's pretty much always trespassing. Walking on the tracks can and does result in people being hit by trains as trains can move far more quickly than they look and have an extremely low ability to quickly brake.
18
TBH, if somebody opened my door like that, I'd assume that the intention was battery and react accordingly. Who opens the driver's door like that who isn't trying to car jack the driver?
17
@shrimplyobsessed Possibly, but I've known people who were disciplined too much by their parents that wound up like this. Well, not this, this is world class idiocy of a level the world may never see again.
13
Yes, that was my first reaction was that him setting the camera up on that time frame isn't suspicious, this is hardly the first railfan to capture a derailment on camera. Between time tables and possible friends up the line, I didn't question the timing. I doubt that many railfans have hours to just sit around hoping a train will show up. However, they apparently had surveillance footage of him being the one that flipped the switch.
11
He had credibility at some point?
9
When I first heard about this I was curious how they knew that he was the one that did it and wasn't just somebody with a knowledge of the time tables or who had heard from a friend the next town over that a train was coming through and setup a few minutes before it came through. But, apparently there was footage of him actually flipping the switch.

My mother had a student that claimed to have brain cancer and even shaved her head. It turned out that she was a big fat phony and was perfectly healthy. Which, I guess in a way is better than there being another cancer case, but is up there with the crappiest things you can lie about.
8
@MephiticMiasma Dude, he's broke. I'm not even sure how he's able to afford any of what we're seeing. I'm sort of surprised there hasn't been any sort of lock put on his accounts against getting money from outside the country when he's not allowed to work.
7
It isn't anywhere near that bad here, but there's a bunch of hills and it's pretty common to see cyclists riding in traffic up the hill. They'll go like 3mph tops holding up traffic when there's a sidewalk that they're legally permitted to use within literally feet of the road.
7
That's interesting. Also, keep in mind that if you call 911, they can often get help there much quicker, and depending upon what gets hit when you're shot, there's more options for controlling the bleeding than you'd have in the car. And, anybody coming into the hospital on a proper ambulance has a faster time into the ICU as the ambulance crew is talking with the doctors at the hospital to get things set up before they arrive. I have no idea if that would have made any difference at all, but it would have given the young woman the best shot of making it.
7
@joeyjojoshabadoo889 At absolute bare minimum, he's an accomplice to all of this. And in both of those clips, he's guilty of assault and/or battery.
6
@P.C.27 It's beyond me how there wasn't at least enough to charge the cyclist for a misdemeanor other than the disorderly. There's clear assault and battery in the contact, then there's filing a false police report and I'm sure there is some sort of charges that could have been brought in terms of opening the door in order to try to prevent the teen from leaving the scene.
6
I'm surprised that they didn't hit him with a felony for any of this. You can't prevent people from leaving so that you can call the cops on them. Especially, if they haven't committed any of the crimes that the local laws recognize as being a reasonable basis for a citizen's arrest or shop keepers privilege.
6
@Terabit3 Yep, it's unclear to me why he was let off the hook for with a disorderly conduct charge when there's a bunch of other charges that apply.
6
Essentially, if you're known to have that sort of shady personal ethics, you're probably going to be willing to overlook other norms as well.
6
I doubt he will, absolute best case scenario for him is that he gets deported directly to the US as that's where his citizenship is and no other country is required to let him in. So while many countries do have visas that can be granted on the spot, countries can typically deny entry for just about any reason even with a visa.
5
@ryurineko Which is a miscarriage of justice, don't see how any of what the cyclist did doesn't constitute a felony, or at least a misdemeanor for unlawfully preventing the teen from leaving the area.
5
I assume it's that it was a repeated thing rather than a one off. Sending messages to people to annoy or aggravate them is something that's been illegal for quite some time. It's more the on the internet bit that allows this specific bit to involve farts as it's difficult to arrange without a computer.
5
I guess if you're going to compete in the dumb ass Olympics, you might as well go for the record.
5
That's common of a bunch of Asian countries. The Chinese developed early sunglasses in order to help their judges to hide any emotions that had during proceedings.
5
@anthonyhenderson8632 This is what happens with so many broken families and so many families where both parents have to work because jobs no longer pay a working wage. Although in terms of Jack, his parents are scumbags to. From what I can tell, they drove him to harass influencers early on in his channel.
4
They cared at a community college? I work at a community college and they'd have no reason to care if people were in the halls during hours that school was open due to the fact that people don't all have classes at the same time.
4
@rustymand7086 Yeah, they like had a job, and stuff.
3
Why bother when the workplace safety rules are so lax and the trains have been permitted to grow longer and longer.
3
Don't ignore them, flag the account if it's a violation of policy, or have the channel removed from your feed entirely. The more people do that, the less likely it is that the videos will be shown to anybody.
3
@Norbrookc I think he looked at a map and came to the conclusion that China isn't really that far away.
3
@Neithie Yes, it's important to be careful about things like that as there are a fair number of people who have limited mobility. But, if you're an influencer in particular, it's important to be honest about whether this is a permanent thing, and whether it's paralysis or something else, especially if you're fundraising off of it.
3
@ Racist comments like this aren't helpful. The maximum sentence for this is something like 36 years from what I can tell, life without possibility of parole isn't even an option for this.
3
@levibull6063 You also have a massive crime problem, so it's not like you folks are really much better in that regard. I've literally seen people writing about how people don't have legitimate reasons for going around with knives. Knives have a ton of legitimate uses, but since the criminals mostly moved onto knives, apparently, those are also a problem.
2
No, there's no requirement that the "victim" press charges in order for there to be a prosecution. But, if the victim isn't interested in cooperating, it becomes a very hard case to win. It's most commonly done in cases where there's suspected child abuse or domestic violence.
2
Often times, vehicular manslaughter charges are light. Around here, we had somebody get busted for DUI 6 times and on that last time somebody else was killed. Since then, the penalties were tightened so that vehicular manslaughter was at least commensurate with other manslaughter, but it's arguably still too light.
2
@radityapoerwanto7018 TBH, arguably, the Somalis would have the greatest reason to celebrate with the possible exception of Korea.
2
Thank you for your service.
2
@TheCommanderTaco I'm not sure that default applies to criminal proceedings. And, I think he did call to say he was late.
2
@larryjohnson3087 Stopping the fight is fine, the problem is that stopping it by knocking out the other party isn't.
