I cracked up when he mentioned his choice of weapons. Not only does it require two hands to operate, but the length of it makes it a challenge to use on his other hand.

@blacksharkmarketing6341 Not really, the Bee has some funny stuff, but it's far too political.

@victorgbs Michael Falk is my hero. They have to have had somebody that really knew the condition pretty well to write that character. Dialog like that is incredibly hard to write due to the fact that autistic people are a socio-linquistic group on top of having a shared diagnosis.

@Idkpleasejustletmechangeit I like the Babylon Bee from time to time, but it's too consistently right wing. They do have funny stuff, but this sort of content doesn't work very well if it isn't more equal opportunity. Part of why The Onion can get away with stuff like that autistic reporter sketch, is that it's far less political. (And for the record, I'm autistic, and that autistic reporter Michael Falk series is one of the funniest things ever, and just true enough to be hilarious)

@alj25195 Which is funny, because Cluster A is where you find the Schizophrenia Spectrum Personality Disorders.

@youarelife3437 There's a lot of CG these days that is for things that you wouldn't expect. That being said, I'm not sure that the Onion has the funds for that level of realism out of CG.

@ND-nr6mx Yep, the whole situation sucks, but most of the folks that are commenting on it are completely ignorant of how guns on a film set work, there are practical reasons why you wouldn't want an actor to check a gun, for example, getting the rounds in the wrong order of a revolver can lead to a bang when you don't need it, or not having a bang when you do. In normal practice with firearms, you're just worried about whether or not there are any rounds in the weapon and there's never any reason to point the thing at somebody you don't intend to shoot. Movies require the firearms to be pointed at people. We are rapidly approaching the point where there won't be any actual firearms on set and that it'll all be CG, but we're not quite to the point where that's the norm. We'll see what does happen with the court case, but I'd be surprised if they manage a conviction.

@yaboimax6356 The Babylon Bee has some funny stuff, but they're not anywhere near as funny. Perhaps if you're of a certain political persuasion you might think that, but The Onion has always had a much wider view of what things to mock.
