  1. It will come, that's done at the state and local level. The city I live in voted for it a while back, but I haven't yet seen it on any of our elections. Apparenlty, they've given themselves quite a bit of time to educate the voters and get things ready as it's going to kick in roughly 5 years after the voters approved it. But, it will probably start the ball rolling on the county and the rest of the state if it goes smoothly.

  3. Voter registration is just one source of that information. They get those names and addresses from several different places in order to try to avoid biases in the jury pool. Simply not voting isn't going to be sufficient to get you off the hook from serving.

  4.  @That-Guy_  Essentially yes, around here the county gets people's data from a multiple sources, so just not being registered to vote wouldn't be sufficient to ensure you weren't on the list. As for making it that easy to become a voter, write the secretary of state where you are. Around here, just about every interaction I have with a government office comes with a link for information on how to register or update my voter registration.

  7. I had 10 candidates on my ballot, 9 of whom are still in the race as far as I could tell.

  8. That's overstating it. They have one of those every election and the Democrats couldn't even be bothered to run a candidate looking for men's votes. The worst of the damage has already been done, and the DNC isn't even remotely worried about it. They'll be fine, the rest of us not so much.

  10. Not really, I can go to the elections website at any time and view the rooms where the ballots are being dealt with. Anybody else can as well, whether they're in the country or even in another country.
