You can check the demographics of East and West Punjab pre and post partition. In Bengal it was slow process and both Bengals had large minorities. In 1971, when Bengalis were killed by West Pakistani forces, the Hindus took refuge in India. Bangladesh still has around 9% (15 million) Hindus
