  1. UK, US, etc. have a vast immigrant population that contributes significantly to their economies, society, politics unlike India. Hence a comparison seems unfair. India has had a Sikh as a PM/Prez. Muslims as President, VP, currently a tribal as a potential President.

  3.  @sgn9754  6% of England's population is of South Asian origin. 5% Muslims, 1.5% Hindus. 22% of students in English schools are from ethnic minorities. These aren't small proportion

  4.  @sgn9754  A muslim as a PM hasn't yet been achieved. But one case doesn't mean that there hasn't been ANY representation at all. If a Muslim can become a CM of Maharashtra and Assam, then certainly a PM.
