No she won't. Danielle set a bear trap and Trudeau is not a bear.

Go back into the time machine and press "1950".

@Wallace,William Danielle edited her poorly written Sovereignty Act. Apparently, she realized that giving herself unlimited powers to rewrite laws without seeking approval from the legislature was a bad look. If you are keeping score, this is u-turn #2 for Smith as she changed her mind about adding the unvaccinated to the Human Rights Act. Uturn #3. Alberta Premier Danielle Smith softens stand on proposed sovereignty act, says she would respect Supreme Court decisions. New Alberta Premier Danielle Smith says she will abide by decisions from the Supreme Court of Canada in rulings involving her proposed sovereignty act – a contrast to her pledge during the United Conservative Party leadership campaign that the legislation would give the province the power to disregard federal laws and legal decisions. Smith announces absurdly large cabinet that keeps friends close, some enemies closer, and includes few women.

@commonsensecraziness7595 That would require rewriting the constitution.

@commonsensecraziness7595 Smith set a bear trap. Trudeau is not a bear. Trudeau will not disallow the Sovereignty Act. Instead, Albertans will object when they are confronted with reality. You’re suspending my right to collective bargaining? You’re suspending fundamental rights and freedoms that are afforded to us in the Charter? That is the harsh reality that Queen Danielle will face.

@commonsensecraziness7595 "The top adviser to incoming Alberta premier Danielle Smith says her proposed sovereignty act would respect Supreme Court decisions - a reversal of her core policy promise on how she would challenge Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's government. Rob Anderson, Smith's campaign chair for the United Conservative Party leadership and now executive director of her transition team, told CBC in a story published Saturday that Smith's proposed sovereignty act won't empower Alberta to disregard Supreme Court rulings."

@commonsensecraziness7595 I am not worried about your square bracket responses. Those are the words of Danielle Smith's top adviser. Smith set a course and promptly reversed it when confronted with reality.

@commonsensecraziness7595 Danielle Smith has the support of her base. Even in a safe riding, she won with 51% of the vote. "As Mike Tyson famously said, 'Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.' Most Albertans do not support the Sovereignty Act in the way Smith believes." Edmonton Sun

@commonsensecraziness7595 Section 2(c) guarantees the right to peaceful assembly; it does not protect riots and gatherings that seriously disturb the peace: R. v. Lecompte, [2000] J.Q. No. 2452 (Que. C.A.). It has been stated that the right to freedom of assembly, along with freedom of expression, does not include the right to physically impede or blockade.
1
@commonsensecraziness7595 Keeping a spotlight on Smith will help ensure that. She is probably not done with nonsensical ideas. That will keep her assistant busy for the next 6 months.
1
@commonsensecraziness7595 Those are the words of Smith's assistant. It's called research. You should try it sometime. "Rob Anderson, Smith's campaign chair for the United Conservative Party leadership and now executive director of her transition team, told CBC in a story published Saturday that Smith's proposed sovereignty act won't empower Alberta to disregard Supreme Court rulings."

The Celine Dion situation has nothing to do with vaccines.

What???

That is not true.

@ericwolf2641 Edmonton and Calgary should separate from Alberta.
1
@Wallace,William I am not the one promoting separation or divorce. That is on you and the incompetent Danielle Smith. If Alberta can separate from Canada, Edmonton and Calgary should separate from Alberta.

Trump should have done something about that when he was in office.
