  1. USSR economy was a self-sufficient until mid 50s. Keep in mid that the country was cut off from all western tech and have to use its own inner power and labor. The western countries have free market and exploitated less developed states through it, using their free labor, free resources and starve them to death. Can Native Americans, Afro-Americans, Latinoamericans get absolutely free medicine, college tuition, a well paid job, a free house for their family? Or do you have to work your @$$ off to close $200-500k mortgage and if you lost a job and have no medical insurance and suddenly got sick - you might become a homeless?
