Well another refit effect of pearl harbor is definitely the bulges because the TN and CO classes had a bit of extra machinery space where they were fitted for but not with compared to PA and NM classes. If they hadn't received the super duper ultra mega bulges they could potentially gotten up to Queen Elizabeth type speeds with a 1930s engine refit.
