I can't think of anything besides paper ships that never existed that would be armoured against 16" 45s at realistic battle ranges. Likewise by the time you would like looking at refitting those post war there's not going to be a Jutland style battle line.

Yeah unless someone builds some paper like H44/A150/1945 lion/Tillman type stuff I don't see the point and even then im pretty sure the US would have built the last 2 iowas and/or some Montanas before they would have refit NC/SD

Well the KGV 14" shell out of a US 14" 50 cal from a later standard sounds like it could be an interesting different shell/gun

@kemarisite without looking up stats I have no idea whether the shell system would be compatible or not I was just thinking of hand waving all logistics problems aside and putting the extra velocity on the more modern British shells and the extra jumbo bursting charges
