Well im probably not the best example because I've not like moved to another country that speaks another language to live there but definitely think and have inner narrator voice in my Native US English and not any of the other languages I can also speak. The inner narrator voice being in US English means the words that are different in US vs UK English cause some funny mental images when reading something written by a UK English speaker because my brain doesn't autotranslate it the way it does if I hear spoken UK English, so if I hear a UK English speaker say torch I know they mean a hand held light but if I see torch written im thinking about a flaming stick
