I can't see Ukraine being around for ten years. Putin put forward the Russian ceasefire demands. They are amazingly reasonable but of course the hubristic West has rejected them on behalf of the people actually doing the dying. So we can expect the Russian military to step up a gear in Ukraine instead.

@boink800 The Ukrainian people don't get a say in it because Zelensky won't hold elections or a referendum. I'm very sure the Ukrainian people would rather the war ended as soon as possible if they were consulted about it. Even if it meant losing the majority Russian population regions to Russia. They still have a Black Sea port at the moment.

@Rtg5637 I think they are reasonable under the circumstances. Those regions are officially part of Russia. There were referendums of the people and it was voted on in the Russian parliament. So they are completely off the table as far as the Russians are concerned.
