  6. When I lived in Austin, roads like US Route 183, Lamar Blvd, Congress Av, and Anderson Ln were constantly under construction with no end in sight. Guadalupe St and Barton Springs Rd were rough, rutted messes that never seemed to attract the attention of highway repair crews except to patch the worst holes.
