  5.  @randyrenner7643  Well It's not my fault that you didn't go to any history classes in school but I will try to explain the reason for the existence of NATO. After the second world war the United States and Western Europe needed to form a strong organization to stand firm against Soviet aggression. NATO has expanded over the years but we need to maintain a strong presence in NATO to preserve peace in Europe. It's a Trump talking point that other countries don't financially contribute to NATO but that's false.

  6.  @randyrenner7643  It is to defend against any further aggression by Putin. Poland is a NATO member and borders Ukraine. There are other NATO nations that also border Ukraine. It's in our own national interest to protect a sovereign nation in Europe from Putin's aggressive behavior.
