I enjoy being called African American and Black American, but i lean towards African so i don't lose sight of where my ancestors came from. I'm fairly sure I know my roots as my great grandma taught many of my aunts, uncles and my mother about what she was taught and such

@dr.manhattan6278 that's cool mine been here roughly the same timeframe, but we still call ourselves African-Americans and happy for it. We like to keep close to where we're from and not just abandoned it because America says so.

@K.B.Williams I never said every black people should be called African, but i merely spoke for myself because when anyone in the black community says "we" i make sure my voice is heard because nobody is including me into anything without hearing what i have to say.

@K.B.Williams ain't nothing wrong with that, but when you have people trying to shit on ya for keeping ya roots and knowing where you come from, you best know i will put anyone in their place. I go by African American just like i go by black, Black American, etc.

@Ath-lk3xg agreed! I hate the terms white and black on applications whereas other races have their respective names, if applicable. Most don't wanna stand for their respective race, but easily accept whatever term they are called in the usa or elsewhere
